Accessibility.

We want everyone to be able to find a plan, sign up and manage their service on our website, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or a keyboard instead of a mouse.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These are the internationally recognised guidelines for making web content accessible, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

What we’ve done

  • A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page, so keyboard and screen reader users can go straight to the main content.
  • We design our pages to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator showing where you are.
  • Form fields have labels, and related choices are grouped so screen readers announce them together.
  • Pages use a logical heading structure, so you can move through them by heading.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, we cut back animations and turn off smooth scrolling.
  • Most of our policies are published as web pages, not only as PDFs.

Content from other providers

Some parts of our website are provided by other companies, and we can’t fully control how accessible they are:

  • the secure card payment fields
  • the security check that confirms you’re a person and not an automated program
  • the live chat window.

If any of these stops you from doing what you need to, call us on 1300 899 174 and we’ll help you over the phone.

Need help or another format?

If you have trouble using any part of our website, or you need information in a different format, please contact us. It helps if you tell us which page you were on and what you were trying to do.

If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech or communication difficulty, contact us using the National Relay Service.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled an accessibility issue, you can make a complaint. Our Complaints Handling Policy explains how.
