Common questions
Who can get the Seniors Essentials plan?
Seniors Essentials is for customers aged over 60. Everyone else can choose Essentials, which has the same speed.
Is 25/10 fast enough for video calls?
Yes, for one or two people. Seniors Essentials has a Typical Evening Speed of 24 Mbps down and 8 Mbps up, which suits video calls with family. If several people stream at once, Everyday 50/20 gives you more room.
Is there a contract?
No. All our plans are month to month with no lock-in contract.
Do I need a new modem?
You can use your own compatible modem, or add one of ours when you sign up. Ours arrive set up for your service, so you just plug them in.

nbn® plans for gamers
Big game downloads, patches and streaming while you play. Pick a plan with enough speed for your household, connect your console or PC properly, and never worry about a data cap.
What matters most
Speed for big downloads
Superfast 500/50 has a Maximum Speed Potential of 500 Mbps on Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) and Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC), so a large game download takes far less time. On other connections, Family 100/20 is our fastest option.
Wi-Fi 7, or plug in
Our TP-Link HB210 Pro is a Wi-Fi 7 gateway. For the steadiest connection, plug your console or PC in with an Ethernet cable rather than relying on Wi-Fi.
Unlimited data
Every plan has unlimited data, so downloads, updates and streaming never count against a cap.

Common questions
Which plan is best for gaming?
If your home is on Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC), Superfast 500/50 gives you much faster downloads. On Fibre to the Node (FTTN), Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) or Fibre to the Building (FTTB), Family 100/20 is our fastest plan. Check your address to see what’s available.
Will I get low ping?
Latency depends on your connection type, how far you are from the game server, your home Wi-Fi and how busy the network is, so we can’t promise a particular ping. Plugging in with an Ethernet cable usually helps.
Can I open ports or host a game server?
No. We use Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT) and don’t offer static IP addresses, so port forwarding and hosting your own server aren’t available. If a console asks for an open NAT type, that isn’t something we can set up.
Is there a data limit?
No. All our plans include unlimited data, subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.

nbn® plans for families
Streaming in the lounge, homework in the bedroom and gaming down the hall, all at the same time. Our family plans give everyone room to be online at once, with Wi-Fi that reaches every room.
What matters most
Everyone online at once
Family 100/20 has a Typical Evening Speed of 97 Mbps, enough for several HD streams, video calls and gaming in the busy evening hours.
Wi-Fi in every room
Add up to 2 extra TP-Link HB210 Pro mesh units for strong Wi-Fi throughout a bigger home.
Safer online

Common questions
What speed does a family need?
For three or more people streaming and gaming at the same time, Family 100/20 is a good fit. On Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC), Superfast 500/50 is the same price with much more speed.
Our Wi-Fi drops out upstairs. What helps?
Mesh Wi-Fi. Extra TP-Link HB210 Pro units spread the signal around the house. Our Understanding Wi-Fi guide explains where to put them.
Can we change plans later?
Yes. There’s no lock-in contract, so you can move up or down in My Account as your household changes.

nbn® plans for working from home
Video calls, cloud files and shared documents all day long. When you work from home, upload speed matters as much as download, so choose a plan that keeps your calls clear even when the rest of the house is online.
What matters most
Upload speed matters
Your video and the files you send use upload speed. Family 100/20 has a Typical Evening upload of 33 Mbps, compared with 16 Mbps on Everyday 50/20.
Plug in for important calls
An Ethernet cable from your modem to your computer gives a steadier connection than Wi-Fi for long calls.
Stay on top of it
Restart your connection, check for outages and turn on SMS outage alerts, all in My Account.

Common questions
Which plan is best for working from home?
For one person on regular video calls, Everyday 50/20 can work. If others are online at the same time, or you upload large files, Family 100/20 gives you more headroom.
Will my work VPN work?
Most work VPNs connect normally. We don’t offer static IP addresses, so if your workplace needs a fixed IP for remote access, check with your IT team first.
What if my internet drops during the day?
Check Network status and My Account for outages, restart your connection from My Account, or contact us and we’ll help.
