Modem warranty and faulty modems

Modems supplied by Coast Broadband come with a 12-month warranty. Here's what's covered and how to sort out a faulty modem.

A modem supplied by Coast Broadband is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. If it develops a fault in that time, we'll help you sort it out.

First, rule out a simple fix

Most "dead" modems are actually a connection or power issue, and a quick check gets them going again:

  1. Power cycle the modem (off at the wall, wait 60 seconds, back on).
  2. Check the cables are firm and in the right ports (see your HB210 Pro or VX230v setup guide).
  3. Check there isn't an outage in your area.

Still faulty?

If it's genuinely faulty and within the 12-month warranty, contact us and we'll arrange a replacement:

Using your own modem? A modem you bought elsewhere (BYO) is covered by that manufacturer's warranty, not ours. Contact the maker or retailer for a BYO modem fault.
